The Characteristics of an Ideal Client
Today during a clarity break, our leadership team took some time to reflect on our favorite clients. We named names!
After a few quiet minutes to reflect on the names, and had a few laughs around fun memories - we then took some time to identify what made these folks great clients to work with. At first the list of qualities was a bit extensive, but after a short game of ‘keep, kill, combine” to clean up the board, we arrived at the follow cornerstone qualities of a great client.
Trust
Respect
Accountability
Shared Goals
Turns out, we agreed we love clients who trust us, who respect us, who are accountable for their portions of a project, and who share the same goals as us, and communicate frequently and candidly.
Of course, none of these things are dependent on the types of products or services we’re creating content for, any immutable characteristics of the person, or the dollars being brought to the table.
That’s the way we see it, and of course, we’re going to continue to strive to be the best possible creative partner that we can possibly be.
