A film documenting Scott Matzka’s Journey with ALS

Scott Matzka was in peak physical condition, an NCAA National Champion as a captain for U of M's hockey team, and enjoyed a 13 year career as a professional hockey player for the Cardiff Devils, Grand Rapids Griffins, Cleveland Barons, Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies, and Kalamazoo Wings.

After receiving a devastating ALS diagnosis at the age of 36, Scott grapples with plans for the remainder of his life while relentlessly advocating to find a cure for the terminal disease. This film documents his journey with ALS, taking his turn with the disease and showing what family and community mean to those who suffer.
